What is Piles for Windows
Piles for Windows create simple list, easily launched from taksbar, containing recently used files from selected folder, and helps you quickly access you newest downloads, documents you worked on lately and any other files you use often. Piles for Windows is based of excellent idea of Stacks for Mac OS X - and implements it a Windows way. Simple and easy to use Using Piles for Windows is very easy - only two clicks are needed to access recently modified files. Piles for Windows work best when pinned to windows Taskbar - program is designed to be an alternative way of pinning directories. It lets you quickly open recently changed files, but also is capable of easily opening whole directory. It's completely free

Basic usage To open a pile, click on it's icon in Taskbar (remember to pin it first!). Pile will open just above icon, and allow you access 13 recently modified files in selected directory. Clicking on any item in the list will open selected file in associated program - just as it would open if you double-clicked it in Windows Explorer. |
